HSA Announcements

Have you paid your family's $40 annual dues to the Somerville Elementary School Home and School Association yet? If you haven't, please go to Community Pass https://register.communitypass.net/reg/login.cfm… and do it today!

The annual dues help pay for, among other things,

  • the Back To School Picnic
  • printing and production costs of the directory
  • the student planners distributed to each student
  • breakfast and other forms of appreciation for Somerville teachers and staff
  • performances by visiting artists at assemblies throughout the year
  • the Science Fair
  • International Day
  • Somerville Children’s Theater
  • Bingo Night
  • Lip Sync
  • some 5th-grade graduation activities
  • an annual visit from a well-known children’s author (this year it’s Newbery Honor Book writer Grace Lin!)
  • Somerville’s Fourth of July parade float
  • Bus rentals for field trips

FREE FUNDRAISERS
There are so many easy ways to support Somerville. Please see below. 

Fairway Fund Raiser: With every dollar you spend at the Fairway Market, 3% or more in cash of total purchases will be donated back to our school's PTA fund. See flyer below

Stop & Shop: Every time you shop at Stop & Shop, earn money for Somerville. Register your Stop & Shop Bonus card with the A+ Bonus Bucks program at www.stopandshop.com/aplus. Points accrue each time you use your Bonus card, and then Somerville earns cash back based on the total points accrued. Your card must be updated yearly.

Box Tops: Please continue to clip those Box Tops! Send them in to school in small ziploc bags or taped to collection sheets. A new collection sheet will be sent home each month, and you can always click on the link hereor below to print out additional sheets.

Target: Every time you shop at Target or Target.com, earn money for Somerville. Register your Target REDcard for the Take Charge of Education Program http://www.target.com/redcard/main. Designate Somerville as your school, and Target will donate 1% of your REDcard purchases made at Target and Target.com to Somerville. 

Amazon: Every time you shop at Amazon, earn money for Somerville. Simply go to smile.amazon.com, enter "Somerville Home & School" as the non-profit you support, and Somerville will earn a small % of your total purchase.

Regent's Cleaners: Support Somerville when you get your clothes dry cleaned at Regent Cleaners (45 Broad Street) by buying credit through the HSA. You get an extra 10% of your credit amount and Somerville gets 20% of the credit amount. Free pickup and delivery at this Organic Cleaner.
